Feasibilities

Circling the Square has carried out a number of feasibility studies for public art programmes, environmental improvements and studio refurbishment projects. Below are some examples:

Salford Sports Village Public Art Feasibility Study

Client: Salford City Council, NDC (Lower Kersal & Charlestown) & Manchester FA

Circling the Square was appointed by Salford Sports Village Partnership, which consisted of Salford City Council, NDC (Lower Kersal & Charlestown) & Manchester FA, to produce the feasibility study to look at the inclusion of public art, environmental and community projects within this 5 million new build Salford Sports Village development. The vision for Salford Sports Village is to provide a sporting opportunity for all and at the same time, use sport to deliver wider social outcomes of inclusion, crime reduction, better health and civic pride.

Writtle College CADE Feasibility Plan

Circling the Square produced the feasibility plan for Writtle College to convert an existing Fruit Farm into a Centre of Excellence for CADE (Centre for Arts and Design in the Environment) and to mount an International Arts Symposium. From this initial work an on-going relationship has emerged between CTS and Writtle College, working together on a number of funding bids to Culture 2000 and the Big Lottery.

Chestnuts Park Playgrounds Design Report

Circling the Square was commissioned by the Friends of Chestnuts Park & Haringey Council research and consult with the local community regarding improvements for new playground facilities and, based on this work, produce a report with design proposals, costings and research information. The report included details on the new playgrounds proposals, costings, an audit of the results of the community consultation, youth workshops, socio demographic context, play equipment manufacturers and visits to other parks to investigate best practice elsewhere.
